Hiroyoshi Tahata
Certified Advanced Rolfer®
Rolf Movement® instructor
Yielding Embodiment® Orchestration(イールドの技法)を開発。
その探求は、Rolf Movement®、Somatic Experiencing®、そして恩師Carol Agneessens先生とともに発展させた The Art of Yield へとつながっています。

Welcome !
I studied in the biochemistry laboratory of the Department of Agricultural Chemistry, Faculty of Agriculture, and then spent eight and a half years as a research scientist at the Fujisaki Institute of Hayashibara Biochemical Laboratories, a pioneering biotech company in Okayama. My research ranged from defining the conditions under which cyanobacterial cells regenerate to studying platelet production that supports recovery after cancer chemotherapy. Looking back, “regeneration” seems to have been my theme all along. In my final year at the company, I took part in a research project on the Bi-Digital O-Ring Test (BDORT). I have been fortunate to continue collaborative research with Dr. Yasuhiro Shimotsuura, a BDORT-certified physician I worked with there, even after becoming a Rolfer.
I was certified as a Rolfer in 1998, and for 28 years my work has centered on individual sessions. Valuing subtlety of intervention and real, integrative change, I have explored a path of transformation that arises from within the body rather than relying on strong force applied from outside. This exploration has led me to Rolf Movement®, Somatic Experiencing®, and The Art of Yield, which I developed together with my mentor, Carol Agneessens.
The perspective of a researcher, who observes phenomena as they are without fixing them in place, and the practice of an art that meets the living body directly: moving between the two, I work with each person and their body in my session room in Daikanyama, Tokyo.
